Holiday Open House

‘Tis the season of gratitude! 

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays. It is a time for reflection and connection. Each year we host our annual Holiday Open House on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. We invite everyone to join us for a day of free yoga classes! This is the perfect time to share the Yoga practice you love with your friends, family, and co-workers. Never been to our Yoga school before? Has it been awhile since you’ve taken class with us? Now is the perfect time to come out and join us.

Participation in these classes is FREE for everyone.  Pre-registration is required. Save your space here. All classes are heated and are appropriate for beginners. Email with additional questions.

What to bring:

  • Yoga mat & large bath towel (these are required for class – both are available for rental at the front desk)
  • Bottled water
  • Wear clothes that you will be comfortable sweating in!
  • An open mind – prepare to have fun and meet some really nice people.

Fit for Fall Yoga Challenge

Our annual 60 Day Fall Yoga Challenge is back! A consistent Yoga practice yields many things – a healthy body being one of them. Each year we come together as a community to do more Yoga and implement healthy habits into our daily lives. It is amazing to see what happens when we attempt something as a group. This year we have expanded our challenge to include a Clean Eating Facebook Group (think small accessible changes that will add up big), bi-weekly support emails and we have some incredible prizes up for grabs for those of you that successfully complete a challenge.

Commit to taking:
30 Classes in 60 Days
45 Classes in 60 Days
60 Classes in 60 Days

Successfully complete a challenge and be entered to win our Fit for Fall Prize Basket (see details below). Prizes include:

  • One Month of Unlimited Yoga at Bikram Yoga Binghamton

All classes must be taken at Bikram Yoga Binghamton (take any class on our schedule!).

A minimum of 30 Classes must be taken at Bikram Yoga Binghamton between October 1st and November 29th in order to be entered into prize drawing.

Each person who successfully completes a challenge will automatically be entered into prize drawing. The more you come, the more entries you’ll receive: take class 30 times and receive 30 entries, take 45 classes and receive 45 entries, take class 60 times and receive 60 entries.

Winner will be drawn at random on December 1st.

Caty’s Top Ten Practice Tips

Bikram Yoga is a lifelong practice. Just like anything else that becomes part of our daily lives, there is an ebb and flow to it physically and mentally. Our very own Caty has been teaching for TEN YEARS (and practicing longer than that!) and has decided to share her top ten Practice Tips to help you stay motivated and inspired!

1.  Have zero expectations of your practice.

2.  Just show up and breathe.

3.  Be open to what is revealed to you about your body, mind and spirit.

4.  When something or someone disrupts you, what is that telling you about your practice? In other words, let no one steal your peace! Practice acceptance of others.

5.  Practice acceptance of yourself. However, don’t define or accept any limitations on your life or your practice. Anything is possible once you change your mind!

6.  Rest if you need to. The hardest thing to do in class is to be still, it’s also ok to take a time off, you’ll experience gratitude when you come back

7.  Your practice if part of your life plan, set goals: add another class, attend a workshop, compete, never settle into complacency.

8.  Share your practice! Leverage the studio, education system, athletes, and your peers to share yoga in the community, youth or in your work.

9.  Share this gift of yoga! Think of how you feel after your practice – encourage friends, coworkers, family to give it a try,  and you will change their life as you have changed your own.

10.  Be and feel accomplishment. 90 minutes is a telltale sign that you understand the importance of self care and in order to help others you must take care of yourself – feel good about that!

6:15AM 60 Minute Express Classes

Same postures, same heat, shorter class time.  All of us at Bikram Yoga Binghamton are excited to announce the addition of early morning class times starting next week. Summer is officially here and it is our hope that these early morning class times will allow you to get your Yoga in early so that you have more time to soak up the sun and enjoy all of the wonders that summer brings. With warm weather upon us, we know that sometimes you have to choose between making it to class or spending time outdoors. Now you can accomplish both. Yoga class and a green juice all before 8AM – how good does that sound? Let’s kick things off with a bang! Save your space for class next Wednesday, June 18th here (existing members – sign in using the email address you receive our newsletter from to sync directly to your membership).

Curious about the 60 Minute Class format? These early morning Express Classes are designed for those of you that need to get your Yoga in before you have to head to class or to work in the morning. You can be in, out, showered, and to the office before 8AM if you need to be. Throughout this sixty minute class you will practice the same sequence of postures in the same heated room that you are used to. You’ll practice two sets of most postures and one set of a select few. You’ll be amazed at how good you feel and you’ll leave class energized and with enough time to get ready for work, school, or play.

June Juice Cleanse

Spring into summer with JUICE! Our very own Roxanne is celebrating her birthday next weekend and she wants to celebrate with a few of her favorite things – Yoga and juice! This upcoming juice cleanse will kick things up a notch in terms of convenience and deliciousness. Roxanne is busting out all of her favorite flavors for you to enjoy … we are serving up summer in a bottle.
